Marcella Bondie Keenan, AICP, LEED AP, is the Director of Climate Planning and Programs for the Center for Neighborhood Technology. Her work focuses on helping communities mitigate and adapt to climate change hazards, and realize the benefits of green building practices. Key projects include RainReady, CNT’s urban flooding initiative. Ms. Bondie Keenan serves on the national Equity, Diversity and Inclusion committee for the American Planning Association. Prior to CNT, Ms. Bondie Keenan worked for over ten years in environmental consulting, academia and the non-profit sector.
Ms. Bondie Keenan holds a Masters of Urban Planning and Policy from University of Illinois at Chicago, and a Bachelors of Biology. A native Chicagoan and Latina, she is the proud recipient of the 2020 Chicago United for Equity (CUE) fellowship. Ms. Bondie Keenan is passionate about creating urban environments that are resilient, healthy, and just.
