Sierra Martinez works to maximize the human and climate benefits of optimizing energy use in buildings. He supports a network of grantees and teams that drive innovative policies across the country.
Previously, Sierra taught energy policy at University of California, Berkeley Law and University of California, Hastings College of the Law, and served as a legal director at the Natural Resources Defense Counsel. Sierra has testified before agencies and legislative audiences on energy issues. He played a critical role in the development and passage of several California energy policies addressing energy efficiency, nuclear retirements, and grid operations.
